Looking Back

Ten Years Ago

I was 17 and getting ready to start my senior year of high school
I was working at Blimpie's Sandwiches
My nephew Thomas was born
My brother Charles left for his mission for the LDS Church in Puerto Rico
I went to my cousin Greg's wedding in Marin County, California (see picture of me at the wedding dancing with my dad)
Jared was on his mission in Sweden, we didn't know each other yet



Five Years Ago

I had recently given birth to my son Joseph
I was learning how to be a mother
We lived in an apartment with chain smokers downstairs
We traveled to Jared's parents' house for Joseph's baby blessing
Jared's parents went on an Alaskan cruise
Jared was stressed at work because the FAA was inspecting his company

One Year Ago

I was expecting Eleanor and very ill
We went camping with our friends Rob and Eve and their family
I canned and froze 6 bushels of peaches
I was counting down the days until Joey's preschool started
Jared and Rob were setting up their real estate investing company
We were taking a class on the Constitution
The boys were always eating grapes in the backyard


Yesterday

We tried to go to the ward campout breakfast but the boys wouldn't get dressed so we got there too late
Jared came home for lunch on a short layover and brought his first officer along
I went on a walk with my friend Gretchen
I talked to my mother-in-law and my friend Michele on the phone
Sammy had 3 potty accidents
I played Candy Land with Joey and Sam
