Pumpkin Season

Remember that early pumpkin in my garden? I picked it, baked it, skinned it, and smushed it to bits in my Culinary Robot last night. This morning we made pumpkin waffles. And so begins Pumpkin Season, that glorious time of year when my kitchen is always warm and cinnamonny and we all threaten to become as round as pumpkins.

Here are some of the things I want to make this pumpkin season, mostly from the pumpkin cookbook my mom's ward did for Enrichment Night in November of 2003:

Pumpkin casserole
Pumpkin raisin bread pudding
Mexican pumpkin soup
Pumpkin chocolate chip bars with cream cheese frosting
Pumpkin fudge
Lion House Pumpkin bread
Chewy chocolate pumpkin cookies

And my favorite pumpkin carob cookies with honey and whole wheat flour (I'll get you that recipe!)
