When I looked at this picture after I took it, I was immediately struck by the tiny-boyishness still in Joey's face. He may be five, but his sleeping profile doesn't look that much different now than when he was wee Baby Joey snuggled up on my chest. They do grow fast, but it's nice to see they still hang onto a little bit of babyhood for quite awhile.

I've been called Birrd by my family for years. I hope it's because I'm cheerful and pleasant to be around. I'm also curious and creative. Since becoming a mother, I have found great creative satisfaction in pursuing the traditional homemaking arts such as scratch baking, canning, gardening, quilting, and sewing. I homeschool my children and find this to be a fascinating and rewarding challenge. I am a devout Christian of the Latter-day Saint variety and as such am completely devoted to my family. I have a marvelous husband (the Badger), boys who are nine (Bean) and seven (Fish), and three small girls-- five-year-old Roo, three-year-old Rabbit, and a very small Peanut.

How sweet! That picture totally reminds me of baby Joey. The fort is awesome! Our boys certainly put alot of effort into fort building too. I lost Jacob the other day and found him asleep in his closet fort he had made to read his books in. You'll have to check out my site and see how we found Eli asleep. It's amazing how kids can crash out anywhere.
