Joey's thrilled with his new costume! The only thing missing now is the wings I wanted to add. I'm not sure if they'll make it on there or not. That depends on the craft wire I bought for them turning up. It disappeared this afternoon, and neither of the boys is fessing up. They've had one of their wild days today. That means early bedtime and then I'm going to sit in front of the fireplace with a book!

I've been called Birrd by my family for years. I hope it's because I'm cheerful and pleasant to be around. I'm also curious and creative. Since becoming a mother, I have found great creative satisfaction in pursuing the traditional homemaking arts such as scratch baking, canning, gardening, quilting, and sewing. I homeschool my children and find this to be a fascinating and rewarding challenge. I am a devout Christian of the Latter-day Saint variety and as such am completely devoted to my family. I have a marvelous husband (the Badger), boys who are nine (Bean) and seven (Fish), and three small girls-- five-year-old Roo, three-year-old Rabbit, and a very small Peanut.

Thanks, and I did get the wings done this evening! (The wire was in the couch!) Now I just have to clean off the egg he spilled all over the front and we're ready for Halloween!
I was going to make Ellie a turtle costume from the scraps but I decided I've got enough on my plate and she can just wear the pumpkin jumpsuit we have.
I can't wait to see the wings! I had to laugh about the egg on the front because Noah just ripped Jacob's Gladiator costume, so I have a quick fix and we are ready for Halloween too.
