We were also able to visit Jared's sister Rachel and her husband Mike. It was great to see them again, and finally meet baby Abby, who is adorable. We wish they hadn't had to move so far away, but we're glad they're near the beach!

I've been called Birrd by my family for years. I hope it's because I'm cheerful and pleasant to be around. I'm also curious and creative. Since becoming a mother, I have found great creative satisfaction in pursuing the traditional homemaking arts such as scratch baking, canning, gardening, quilting, and sewing. I homeschool my children and find this to be a fascinating and rewarding challenge. I am a devout Christian of the Latter-day Saint variety and as such am completely devoted to my family. I have a marvelous husband (the Badger), boys who are nine (Bean) and seven (Fish), and three small girls-- five-year-old Roo, three-year-old Rabbit, and a very small Peanut.
