Snowfall

Snow on the ground this morning provided a lot of fun for my kids today! I gave them sled rides around the backyard.



 

A Spectacle

With the move coming up, we're getting rid of everything we can. We gave our spring horse to our friends Rob and Eve, and to get it home Rob tied it on the roof of his car. It was so funny to see it driving down the street. He then had to go 30 miles on the freeway. I wonder what people thought!

 

Small But Brave

Here are my two junior firefighters. Joey's friend Jesse came over yesterday and brought his firefighter suits. All three boys had a blast putting out imaginary fires with imaginary hoses. We're going to miss Jesse. He is the best of Joey's friends for playing imagination games and they will play happily and calmly for hours. I hope we can find a friend like that for Joey in our new town!

How Ellie Fell Asleep For Her Afternoon Nap

Jared said she flopped over on him, cooed for awhile, and then fell asleep. He was in heaven.

 

Feathered Hat

Today was mild, so I made the boys play outside. Sam wore his pumpkin hat and embellished it with a lovely maple leaf.


 

Pick Me Up!

I'm cute and I promise you lots and lots of smiles!

 

And a Pomegranate too!

We just had the most fun day. Jared was home unexpectedly and it was so nice to have him around (as always!) He opened up a pomegranate for us to enjoy: Joey was fascinated. It was delicious.

Breakfast in Bed

This is what Joey brought me for breakfast this morning. In case you can't tell, it's a half of a plain dinner roll with sprinkles on it. It's a little different than the one he made Sam-- that one apparently had pickles on it as well as sprinkles. Sam ate his. I confess I did not eat mine.

 

He also brought me lunch: a tortilla containing one small spoonful of plain tuna fish and three pickle slices. 

When Grandpa Comes

We love it when Grandpa comes here on a business trip and stays with us!
