The Christmas Carousel

One of the new traditions we're starting this year is the Christmas Carousel. It's a German thing, but this is a cheap made-in-China version that I could afford (so I won't cry if the kids break it). It has a nativity scene that turns around and around as the heat from the candles turns the fan blade on top. So what we're doing is: every Sunday night in December we light it and then sing Christmas carols-- everyone gets to choose one. It was a big hit tonight for its debut! You can see on the bottom picture the boys were entranced (all three of them!)
