This was just one of those, "Mom, take my picture!!" shots that turned out really cute so I didn't delete it. I wasn't going to blog it either, but as I was shutting down the computer it caught my eye and I said, "Oh, I just love that boy so much! I have to put that on my blog!"

I've been called Birrd by my family for years. I hope it's because I'm cheerful and pleasant to be around. I'm also curious and creative. Since becoming a mother, I have found great creative satisfaction in pursuing the traditional homemaking arts such as scratch baking, canning, gardening, quilting, and sewing. I homeschool my children and find this to be a fascinating and rewarding challenge. I am a devout Christian of the Latter-day Saint variety and as such am completely devoted to my family. I have a marvelous husband (the Badger), boys who are nine (Bean) and seven (Fish), and three small girls-- five-year-old Roo, three-year-old Rabbit, and a very small Peanut.

I can't believe you grew that lemon tree from a store lemon!!! You are always so amazing at thinking outside the box. You need to rub your green thumb on me. I bought some lovely indoor plants to freshen the air. Unfortunately, due to my planting skills they are all suffering. I feel like that olive tree parable, and I ask myself didn't do everything I could so all of you would grow?
Oh, I have to tell you when Christy H. visited I showed her the pics of you and new baby Ellie! She screamed when she saw how good you looked just after delivery. She kept asking if you lost weight during your pregnancy. Just a sweet thought for you. BTW, you look great and I looooove your hair!!!

I love all the fun pics. Since we can't see each other everyday it is such a treat be able to keep up with your family. I love how your site makes me hungery, yum, you are quite the cook Sarah.
